Medium Carbon Ferro Chrome

Medium Carbon Ferro Chrome (MC FeCr) is a ferroalloy containing 50–55% chromium and a maximum of 2% carbon. It is primarily used in steelmaking to impart strength and hardness while maintaining adequate ductility.

Specifications:
• Chromium (Cr): 50–55%
• Carbon (C): ≤ 2%
• Silicon (Si): ≤ 1.5%
• Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.03%
• Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.03%

  • Description
  • Additional Information
  • Applications

Medium Carbon Ferro Chrome is produced by reducing chromite ore in electric arc furnaces, resulting in a product with a balanced carbon content. This alloy is crucial in steelmaking processes where both strength and ductility are required.

  • Provides a balance between hardness and ductility

  • Enhances strength and wear resistance of steel

  • Acts as a deoxidizer in steelmaking

  • Suitable for producing high-strength structural steels
