Medium Carbon Ferro Manganese

Medium Carbon Ferro Manganese (MC FeMn) is a ferroalloy containing 70–80% manganese and 0.5–2.0% carbon. It is primarily used in steelmaking to impart strength and hardness while maintaining adequate ductility.

Specifications:
• Manganese (Mn): 70–80%
• Carbon (C): 0.5–2.0%
• Silicon (Si): ≤1.5%
• Phosphorus (P): ≤0.25%
• Sulfur (S): ≤0.03%

  • Description
  • Additional Information
  • Applications

Medium Carbon Ferro Manganese is produced by reducing manganese ore in blast or electric arc furnaces, resulting in a product with a balanced carbon content. This alloy is crucial in steelmaking processes where both strength and ductility are required.

  • Provides a balance between hardness and ductility

  • Enhances strength and wear resistance of steel

  • Acts as a deoxidizer in steelmaking

  • Suitable for producing high-strength structural steels
